Often
called the most beautiful building in Pocatello, The Standrod
Mansion was built in 1902 by Judge Drew W. Standrod. The
Standrod family occupied the home until after World War
II. The City of Pocatello acquired the property in 1974
and was available to rent for special events until 1995.
Since 1995 it has housed The Backroom Furniture Store
and a bed and breakfast. Currently the home is privately
owned.
Story:
A former Judge's daughter died of an illness and
is said to haunt the left corner tower and the balcony. |
